Welcome back to The AI Lab Weekly!
This community keeps proving the same thing: the best way to learn this stuff is to watch someone who's already doing it. This week is a great example. Let's get into it.
First, some news about where ALFA is headed.
We've poured a lot into this community, all of it free, and we've loved every minute. To keep it going and keep investing in it, we're rolling out an ALFA membership. There are real software costs behind the scenes, real hours, and a real wish to stay at the very front of this for you. A membership lets us keep showing up and go deeper, instead of stretching ourselves thin.
A few things are coming with it:
The Vault. Our best builds and workflows, recorded and yours to keep. Charlie alone has a pile of tools and systems he runs in his own practice, and he's putting them into the Vault as step-by-step videos you can drop straight into your firm. Instead of a walkthrough that's gone the next day, you get a growing library you own.
Vetted tools. We're starting to bring the better software to you directly and vet it on your behalf, security checks included, so you can see what's worth your time without getting sold to. You can already see this in action in our Tool Safety Index.
A more private room. A lot of what we share is personal: our own firms, our own numbers, our own clients. Keeping the deeper material members-only keeps it safer for everyone who shares.
Folks who join early will lock in the lowest rate we'll ever offer. We'll share more soon.

ALFA Slack has been full of good stuff this week!
Bill Kinney shared his AI starter vault for Obsidian, a ready-made setup for building the kind of context your AI can actually work from. It's up on our public GitHub for anyone to grab.
Scott Edwards shared his souped-up QuickBooks connector for Claude, a fork he's been improving for months so it does far more than the standard one. He's letting anyone in the Lab use it, with one ask: if you make it better, tell him so he can fold it back in.
